We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager (hybrid) to join our growing team at VenturEd Solutions UK!
We’re looking for a hands-on Finance Manager with strong leadership experience and a supportive, coaching approach to help develop the finance team. Solid systems knowledge is essential to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end production of the month-end management accounts, including interrogation and providing review and commentary on areas of variance to plan.
- Produce the monthly management accounts pack, including completion of full balance sheet reconciliations and upload to Blackline system.
- Lead both UK and US audit processes.
- Prepare and submit tax filings including VAT, corporation tax, and research & development tax claims.
- Produce and report weekly cashflow, including analysis of variances.
- Produce monthly and annual consolidated accounts for both internal and external reporting.
- Manage two direct reports, including Accounts Payable – coaching, mentoring, and nurturing team talent.
- Oversee offshore finance staff based in India and/or the Philippines, ensuring alignment with global processes and standards.
- Drive a cost management agenda across the business, proactively challenging and managing spend.
- Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to support and drive strategic decision-making.
- Champion continuous improvement of all finance activities, leveraging systems and reporting tools to drive efficiency.
- Utilize Salesforce to support finance processes, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- UK accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA
- At least 5 years of proven experience in finance or accounting roles with increasing responsibility.
- At least 2 years of experience managing or supervising staff, including offshore teams, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience producing management accounts, financial reporting, and supporting audit processes.
- Strong working knowledge of financial system tools: Sage Intaact; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
